Department of Midwifery and Gender
Introduction
The Department of Midwifery and Gender is one of the departments in the school of Nursing, College of Health sciences in Moi University. We are committed to service to our customers towards achieving the vision and mission of the school, college of Health sciences and Moi University. In fulfilling her mandate, the department runs service courses in the training of Bachelor of Science in Nursing and also runs Master of Science in nursing (Maternal and Neonatal Health). The midwifery training in both programs is based on the philosophy of normalcy in childbirth. We are committed to nurturing professionals who are responsive to the needs of women and families during childbearing journey in the 21st century. We are proud to be part of the collaborative National and international team towards achieving Universal Health Care and Sustainable Development Goals.
